Talk about having a shitty job...The Sentinel is about a model who moves into a new apartment. She thinks all of her new neighbors are really strange, and when she complains about them to her landlady, her landlady tells her that besides her and a priest who lives upstairs, there is noone else in the building. We soon find out that all of the people she has met in the building are all deceased murderers. She also starts seeing visions of her dead father, one of which she actually thinks that she stabbed him to death even though he died three weeks prior. So, her boyfriend starts to worry and starts to investigate. At the end of the movie, we find out that she is supposed to become a nun and guard the gates of hell. Like the movie House of the Devil, this movie moves pretty slowly, and the only scary parts occur at the end of the movie. There is a particularly spooky part when she is being followed by an army of deformed people, and sees two dead women eating her boyfriend's brain. If your looking for a fast paced gorefest, this isn't the movie for you, but I still found it somewhat interesting.
