Character of the Week: Ellen Ripley

This weeks character of the week is the quintessential badass babe, Ms. Ellen Ripley. She is the star of two of my favorite films, Alien and Aliens, and is everything an action hero should be. She's smart and cautious, but can kick some xenomorph ass! If they had just listened to her in the first movie, they all would have been fine, except for Kane of course. She said that they shouldn't let him aboard the ship because he might be contaminated, but they did it anyway, and that is how the whole mess started. So, of course, Ripley was the only one who survived, and ends up having to save the day in the awesome sequel Aliens, and the other sequels that followed. She also has one of the greatest quotes in cinema history...


There's an Alien prequel being made, and no matter who they choose to cast(though I'm rooting for Noomi Rapace), they will never live up to Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley.
