Movie Wardrobes I Want To Steal

Summer Finn (500 Days of Summer)
Zooey Deschanel has the most adorable wardrobe in this movie. I would love to own every single piece of clothing that she has. Her outfits keep getting cuter and cuter throughout the movie. My favorite, though, is probably the blue dress that she wears to the wedding.

Satine (Moulin Rouge)
Nicole Kidman's costumes in this movie are gorgeous! I remember when I first saw the white dress that she wears at the end of the movie, I thought that it was the prettiest dress that I had ever seen in my entire life. I wanted a dress just like it for prom so bad, but of course I never found anything that even resembled it.

Padme Amidala (Star Wars Episode I & II)
The Star Wars universe isn't exactly known for its fashion, but Padme Amidala has the prettiest clothes in The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. Natalie Portman looks beautiful in anything, but when wearing these costumes, she looks absolutely gorgeous. They definitely aren't everyday clothes (they are after all from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away), but I would love to own every single dress that she wears. I probably wouldn't have anywhere to wear them, but I would love to have them just to have them.

Song of the Week: Sticky Honey

Movie I Want To See: Black Swan

Now this is a movie that looks really good! It is directed by Darren Aronofsky, who also directed great movies such as Pi and Requiem for a Dream, and stars Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis as two rival ballet dancers. That there is enough to make me want to see it, but after seeing the trailer, this movie looks amazing! I thought it was just going to be a drama, but after seeing her pull that thing out of her back, it looks really interesting and creepy. There are a lot of really spooky images in the trailer, and I can't wait until it comes out!

Lisbeth Salander finally cast!

I've been waiting and waiting to see who will be cast as Lisbeth Salander in the American film version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Apparently this was a very coveted role that attracted such famous actresses as Ellen Page, Keira Knightley, Scarlett Johannson, Natalie Portman, and Kristen Stewart. I found out via Twitter yesterday that director David Fincher decided to cast relatively unknown actress Rooney Mara as the Swedish computer hacker. I have only seen her in the remake of Nightmare on Elm Street, so I will wait until seeing Fincher's upcoming movie The Social Network to decide whether or not she is absolutely terrible for the role. I love love love the book, so I have to admit that I would have been disappointed with whoever they chose to play Lisbeth, but based on looks alone shes not a horrible choice. Keira, Scarlett, Natalie, and Emily Browning are too pretty too play her, and Ellen Page, Mia Wasikowska, and Carey Mulligan are too cutsie, so I would never take them seriously. As for the rest of the confirmed cast, I'm happy with Daniel Craig as Blomkvist and Stellan Skarsgard as Martin Vagner, and I'm REALLY happy with Robin Wright as Erika Berger. So if Rooney Mara is terrible, at least the rest of the cast will be good....

Return of the Jedi Deleted Scene

At the Star Wars Celebration in Florida over the weekend, George Lucas showed a deleted scene from Return of the Jedi that features Darth Vader talking to Luke through the force (Luuuuuke....Luuuuuuke), and Luke fixing his lightsaber. Its nothing too groundbreaking but is still cool to see...especially when he releases the lightsaber, which of course gets a big cheer from all the fanboys in the crowd. Wish I could've been there. Check it out....

Movie I Want To See: Machete

Now this movie has an interesting story behind it. It started out as one of the fake trailers that went along with the Quentin Tarantino/ Robert Rodriguez Grindhouse movies, and they took that trailer and made it into a feature length movie. Personally, if I had to pick one of those trailers to make into a movie I would've picked Werewolf Women of the SS. (Especially if Nicholas Cage played Fu Manchu..."This is my mecca!!!") Having said that...I have to say that this movie looks pretty badass. I really loved Robert Rodriguez's past few movies (Sin City, Planet Terror), so I'm sure this one won't disappoint. After watching the trailer for the actual movie, I was really excited to see that Cheech Marin was in the movie as well as the fake trailer. Cheech playing a gun-wielding priest was probably the best part of the whole thing.

P.S. How BADASS does Michelle Rodriguez look in this movie??? This poster right here is enough to make me want to see it.

A Little Something That Makes Me Laugh....

Okay, so today me and my baby sister Justine wanted to watch a movie, but couldn't decide what DVD to watch. So, we started going through all of the VHS tapes, and I found Spaceballs. I haven't seen it in years so we put it in, and I'm so glad we did. The whole movie's kinda corny, but there was this one part that made me laugh so hard I almost started crying. I have an obnoxiously loud laugh already, and this just made me laugh even louder than normal. Its the part thats spoofing the chest-bursting scene from Alien, and it actually features John Hurt playing the same character that he does in that movie. It was just hilarious because I had no memory of this part, when it started dancing I was like "What the hell!?!"

Guilty Pleasure: Scream Queens Season 2

Normally, I absolutely hate reality TV. It always comes off as fake and phony and annoys the ever living shit out of me. This show, however, I actually kinda like. Its 10 girls competing against each other for a role in Saw 3D, which is actually a pretty cool prize to be competing for. While the Saw movies may not be the best movies in the world, people still go see them every October, and being in the final installment could be pretty good exposure for a wannabe scream queen.

Whenever I do watch reality TV, I always end up picking a person I like who I stick with throughout the whole series, and a person who I don't like and just want to go home. The person that I like this season is Gabby. She just seems really cool and is interesting to watch. I think that she would be really great trying to figure out how to get out of some weird ass contraption that Jigsaw designed. She got some negative feedback last week after the director's challenge, but tonight's episode she rocked it and won Leading Lady.

The girl who really annoys me however is Sierra. I have no idea how she even got on this show. It probably an American Idol-like situation where the producers find people who are terrible so the audience has someone to laugh at. She is really bad, and whats worse is that she has no idea. She always starts crying after she gets bad feedback like shes suprised or something. During the witches challenge tonight it was just hard to watch her. It was like she was doing a really bad parody of some cheesy cartoon witch. I wanted her to get kicked off tonight, but I knew she wouldn't because that tiny girl screwed the pooch on every challenge. Well...there's always next week.

I suppose I can't be too hard on her though. These poor girls always have the corniest scripts to work with. It was the same way last season. I always just end up laughing at them, even if they're good, because the material is so bad. I have to give props to them for trying though.

Movie Scenes That Give Me The Heebie Jeebies

I am not much of a screamer when it comes to horror movies, but there are some scenes that make me shudder, make my skin crawl and make me get really vocal!

5. The Chest Opening Scene from The Thing
The first time I saw this movie this part suprised the hell out of me! I was watching it in my bedroom, laying down, and when this part happened I sat straight up and said, "What the fuck!" What makes it better is that it just keeps going! After the big chest opening thing, Norris's head comes off and grows spider legs! It is one of my favorite movie scenes of all time and every time I see it it still has the same ooky effect on me...

4. The Facehugger Scene from Aliens
Now the Alien franchise is most remembered for the scene from the first movie where the alien bursts out of that guys chest, and while that is an awesome scene, it doesn't have as much of an effect on me as a scene from the second movie. Ugh! This scene just makes my hands shake...that nasty little facehugger scampering across the floor running after Ripley and trying to get on her face just freaks me the fuck out! I couldn't post this video, but heres the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGvJcc8io44

3. Gyno scene from Teeth
Now there are a number of scenes from this movie that I could have chosen, but this is the one that creeps me out the most. This is the scene where Dawn feels that there is something wrong down in her womanly areas, so she goes to her gyno to have it checked out. Now, I don't really want to get into everything that goes on in the scene, but you should really go see it for yourself. The first time I saw it I was watching it on my tiny ass labtop with really horrible quality, but when this scene was happening I ending up standing up from my chair and running around the room a bit, I was so freaked out. The part that really freaked me out was when they were going all over the room! (You'll have to see it to know what I mean.) Since this movie affected me so much I, of course, had to buy it and show it to everyone. Some people are disgusted, some people laugh hysterically (like me...), and some people have even gagged. Anyways...heres the trailer.

2. Tree Rape Scene from Evil Dead
Now it isn't the entire scene that freaks me out, even though being attacked by trees would be terrifying (especially since I live around a ton of them right now). No, the part that freaks me out is when those tree branches pull her legs open, and "whip!" As soon as that branch goes in I'm like "GGGGAAAAAAAAAAHHHHGGGGG!!!" I have seen this movie a billion or so times, but that part gets me every single time! God dammit that would hurt something terrible!!!!! I don't even want to thing about that possibly happening, and there it is! Its probably my least favorite part in that whole movie. Heres the trailer.

1. Torture Scene from Audition
This is a scene that I can't even listen to! I mean the guy getting the needles in his eyes is bad enough, but the part that really gives me the heebie jeebies is when she is using the piano wire to cut off his foot. You can't really see it, but you can hear the piano wire cutting into his flesh and that just makes it even more terrifying for me. I liked this movie because of the fact that it had this effect on me, but I honestly don't know if I could sit through it again. I mean, the first time I saw it I wasn't alone, I was watching it with a big group of my friends, and it still freaked me out. Just thinking about this scene gives me a chill in my spine.
