In recent news, Kim Kardashian isn’t being thrown a bone from Skechers on Super Bowl Sunday.

Kardashian, the reality TV mega-star who was featured in the sneaker maker’s racy Super Bowl commercial last year, has been dropped and will be replaced by a French bulldog.

The move comes about two months after Kardashian filed for a divorce from basketball star Kris Humphries. But Skechers executives insist that negative PR following the divorce filing has nothing to do with their decision. Mark Cuban, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks, also has a cameo in the new spot.

“Kim got us more attention than we ever dreamed,” says Leonard Armato, president of Skechers Fitness, who notes that Skechers is launching a high-tech running shoe business. “We have to establish Skechers as more than a lifestyle company.”

Melanie Amaro has “The X Factor.”

The powerful 19-year-old vocalist from Sunrise, Fla., won the Fox talent competition Thursday over soulful 30-year-old singer Josh Krajcik of Wooster, Ohio.

Amaro, who was mentored by judge Simon Cowell and was at one point eliminated then reinstated to the contest, was awarded the grand prize: a $5 million recording contract and a starring role in a Pepsi commercial.

“Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God,” Amaro repeated after host Steve Jones announced her as the champion.

Get out your 3-D glasses – the Kardashian Christmas card is coming your way!

Reality TV’s royal family is spreading their holiday cheer with the release of their Christmas card with a special twist.

“Here it is! Our 2011 Kardashian/Jenner family Christmas card!!! It was shot by the amazing Nick Saglimbeni and there’s a special 3D version that you can view with 3D glasses,” Kim wrote on her website. “I love our family Christmas cards shoots and I think this one looks amazing!”
